Tex2Tex™ | PET Textile Recycling

Global Gap in RPET Supply - Polyester is the largest produced fiber in the world, representing over 55% of the global textile market. According to Textile Exchange, we need to move from 14% to 90% recycled polyester (RPET) by 2030 to meet our 1.5 degree climate commitments. However, there is a lack of RPET raw material, estimated to be around 10 million metric tons by 2025. We Need to Move “Beyond Bottles™” - Currently, bottle flake RPET represents 99% of the market RPET market. However, the fashion industry needs to move past downcycled single-use plastics and go Beyond Bottles™. Textile to textile recycling addresses the fashion industry’s waste problem and valorizes an underutilized waste stream. The Tex2Tex™ Solution - Tex2Tex™ is a high capacity, cost-competitive, and low-impact polyester recycling technology. Tex2Tex™ has 10,000T/yr+ fiber production capacity. Tex2Tex™ fiber and yarns are lower than Unifi Repreve® RPET prices. The recycling process and value-added supply chain is supported by renewable energy, including biomass boilers and solar. All product waste from fiber, yarn and fabric manufacturing is also recycled back into the Tex2Tex™ recycling unit, delivering a zero-waste production system. The Tex2Tex™ Impact - The Tex2Tex™ process uses less energy and water, and has reduced carbon emissions compared to all other virgin and recycled polyester fibers. We also have a special GRS with our Tex2Tex™ designation to provide it! Contact us also for our LCA, full spectrum end-of-life solutions, and mono-material product innovations.
